MMA Fans Excited for Bellator 70 in Louisiana

Bellator Fighting Championships is considered to be the second largest MMA promotion in America behind the UFC. The company was first established back in 2008 and has been growing in popularity ever since. Bellator is about to host their 70th event, and it is sure to be a stellar event for fight fans looking to see some brutal heavyweight action. The main title fight of the night will be between Cole Konrad, who is the current heavyweight champion and who is undefeated in Bellator going up against the previous tournament winner, Eric Prindle, who has three consecutive victories under his belt in the Bellator promotion.

One of the reasons fight fans enjoy Bellator so much is because it has a unique platform that is different from many other MMA promotions. Bellator uses a tournament style structure. The tournament lasts for a season, and whoever wins the tournament receives a hefty paycheck as well as a title shot at the current reigning Bellator champion. This truly makes the athletes participating in the events feel like they have earned their shot at the championship.

Along with having a phenomenal heavyweight title matchup, the middleweight tournament will come to a close and a new contender will emerge to take a shot at the coveted Bellator title. Another big fight that is going to happen at this event is a bout featuring Rich Clementi. Clementi was formerly a part of the UFC and has a record of 42 wins and 21 losses. The opponent that Clementi will be fighting is to be announced at a later time.

The middleweight finals feature some great fights as well as including one with Brian Rogers going head to head with Burno Santos. Fans will also get to see a great fight with Maiquel Falcao and Vyacheslav Vasilevsky.

The main fight of the night is the result of two fights between current contender Prindle and fighter Thiago Santos, who were dropped from their respective cards. This pair first traded punches at the Bellator 59 event. There was much controversy surrounding the fight, as Santos kicked Prindle in the groin and Prindle was unable to continue fighting. The next bout was scrapped off the card because Santos was not able to make weight for the weigh-ins, which officially declared Prindle the victor, who would take on Konrad for heavyweight title shot.

The evening promises to be action-packed and provide fight fans with plenty of quality fight entertainment.
