MMA Glove Training Technology to Give You the Edge

Mixed Martial Arts is a sport that is continuing to rise in popularity all around the world. It is easy to see why so many people are falling in love with this type of sport, as it requires a high level of athleticism, skill, and heart to compete at the professional level. For those who are fresh to the world of MMA, the sport is a combination of different fighting styles, including Boxing, Wrestling, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai, among others. Most people who are big fans of the sport tune in each month to watch Ultimate Fighting Championship fight cards, which feature some of the top athletes in the sport.

Many people who take an interest in the sport often want to participate in it and learn the various skills involved in MMA. If you plan on fighting in the cage, then you need to have well-rounded striking skills. In order to learn and sharpen up your boxing or striking skills, you need to have the right type of training gloves that will help enhance your skills and increase the speed and power of your punches. There are two types of training glove technology that is now being widely used by professional MMA fighters all across the globe.

A lot of fighters are using open ended seven ounce training gloves for all of their striking during practice and training sessions. These gloves are traditionally a bit thicker padded than the actual gloves used in an MMA bout. The extra thick padding material used in these gloves is designed to help protect your hands and keep them from getting injured during training. Different brands of these gloves have different features that add to the durability and protection the glove offers. Many of them have hook and loop wrist straps that tri-sect. This adds extra support to the wrist area of the hand to prevent shattering or sprains from occurring. The open palm design makes it easy to still use these gloves during drills that involve striking an opponent or dummy on the ground.

Another popular type of training glove is grappling gloves. One of the best types of grappling gloves to use are the type that use gel technology in them. This gel provides amazing protection for the hand and enables fighters to move more fluidly than plain foam technology alone. These gloves are ideal for those training days that are primarily focused on ground skills.

The sport of MMA is continuing to grow and gain rapid exposure to markets of fight fans from many different countries across the globe. One of these fight promotions is Super Fight League. This promotion is putting on their third event on May 6 in New Delhi. Super Fight League is also pioneering the way in the combat sports industry by allowing the entire fight card to be streamed over the Internet through YouTube. Many fight fans are hoping this is a trend that continues and that bigger promotions start putting up fights on YouTube to be watched live as well.

The headlining bout for Super Fight League 3 features a stellar heavyweight fight between Bobby Lashley and James Thompson. Lashley is not new to combat sports, having previously been a part of WWE as a professional wrestler. Lashley knows how to entertain a crowd and is sure to make the fight a memorable one to watch. Lashley has been paying his dues in the regional fight circuit and is coming off two consecutive victories, including one that landed him a championship title with a promotion called Sharks Fights.

Cutting Edge MMA Training Gear to Boost Your Performance

There is no doubt that MMA or Mixed Martial Arts is one of the most exciting sports to watch in the world. For those who truly understand the technical aspects of the sport, there is never a dull moment in the ring or cage. If you are currently training in the disciplines of MMA, you probably understand the importance of having the most cutting edge training equipment to help boost your performance and get better results in the cage. There are many different pieces of equipment that help you develop your skills and take you to the next level of competition.

One of the most essential pieces of training technology your gym must have is training gloves. These gloves are used in sparring and on heavy bags. It is important to make sure that the type of training gloves you use here provide adequate protection for your hands. The most common hand injuries that occur in the world of MMA occur during sparring or training and are due to having gloves that do not provide great protection for the hands. One of the most advanced types of gloves fighters use are the type that use gel and foam padding. This helps reduce the amount of stress put on your hands to prevent fractures. Make sure the gloves you use provide good wrist protection as well as shock absorption.

If you are looking for equipment that can help you get stronger and faster, you need some good fitness equipment. A great way to train for endurance and stamina is to do conditioning training using a weighted vest. This type of vest will allow you to add up to an extra 22 pounds to your weight. This means you get more resistance in your workout, which will boost your speed, strength, and stamina so that you will have an advantage over your opponent.

Another piece of cutting edge training technology is the neck strengthener. Having a strong neck is essential to avoid getting knocked out during an intense striking bout. This equipment will enable you to safely do neck exercises that will improve your ability to absorb the shock of punches coming at you so that you can stay in the fight a little bit longer. Another big perk to using this type of equipment is that it enables you to train the neck without the hassle of using free weights during your exercises.

Anticipation Builds for the UFC on Fuel TV 2 Card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has played a large role in exposing the world to the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. The UFC has been taking the world by storm by broadcasting a few fight cards on cable television, the next one being broadcast on Fuel TV. This fight card has become highly anticipated, as it marks the return of Thiago Silva, who had been on suspension from the UFC for issues related to drug testing. The fight card is shaping up to be one of epic proportions and should be an exciting evening of MMA action.

The big fight of the night is the Alexander Gustafsson versus Thiago Silva bout. Alexander Gustafsson is one of the sports rising stars and is looking to make a name for himself as a serious contender in the light heavyweight weight class. Many critics and die-hard fight fans claim that Gustafsson could pose a real threat to current champion Jon Jones and might be third in line for a possible shot at the champ should he survive bouts against Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson this year. One of the advantages that Gustafsson capitalizes is his speed and reach, which he has used well to take out well known fighters like Matt Hamill.  His style will pose a challenge for Silva, who likes to get in close and exchange short, tight punches.

Another big fight that many fight fans are looking forward to is the Stann vs. Sakara fight. Middleweight fighter Brian Stann is coming off a loss delivered to him by Chael Sonnen courtesy of an arm triangle. This ended a fiery three fight winning streak, which exposed the fact that Stann’s ground game needs a little work. His next matchup against Sakara is going to be more suited to his stand up style since Sakara will likely stand and go toe-to-toe during the fight. Stann is more than a brawler, as he has improved his skills and picked up some new tricks that have refined him into a deadly striker that strategizes and knows when to strike and when to hold back and wait.

Fight fans are also looking forward to seeing a great Welterweight bout between Paulo Thiago and Siyar Bahadurzada on the Fuel TV fight card. This fight has Thiago, who was once a top 10 contender at this weight class, against a former light heavyweight in Shooto. This rounds out the top three fights of the evening of what is sure to be a classic night of fight action.
